Savant Garde (SA-GA) is my newest/oldest project. i feel like SA-GA has been a part of me for most of my life. it is the way that i am and so it has been my expression all along. it is only now that these ideas will enter other people's worlds in a tangible form. the primary thing for this brand will be garments and accessories that aid in the everyday savant's life.
i am talking of the artist who wakes up in the morning to a bagel and paintbrush. i am talking of the writer who goes for a midday park-excursion for spontaneous inspiration. i am talking of the folk singer who calls his harmonica by her name. i am talking of the dreamer who transforms fantasies into films. i am talking of the tailor who esteems his scissors like a cowboy esteems his six-shooter. i am talking of the creative missionary using art as a tool of deliverance. i am talking about the thinker who lays out his ideas like a picnic blanket for all to feast upon. i am talking of the independents, the travelers, the visionaries, the communicators, the inventors.
SA-GA is inspired by life and living.
